Sweat Reduction

Sweating is a normal body function that helps regulate temperature.

Our clinic can provide consultations about sweating concerns. During consultation, a practitioner will review your concerns, assess the areas involved and discuss possible options that may be appropriate for you.

In some cases, sweating may be associated with medical conditions or other contributing factors. Where appropriate, your practitioner may recommend assessment by a GP or dermatologist.

All cosmetic procedures carry risks and may not be suitable for everyone.

Risks for non-surgical cosmetic procedures will be discussed in detail during consultation but may include, depending on the procedure:

  • redness, swelling or bruising at the treatment site
  • tenderness or temporary discomfort
  • changes in skin colour or pigmentation
  • infection or delayed healing
  • uneven or unexpected aesthetic outcomes

Less common but more serious complications may occur.

Your practitioner will explain the specific risks relevant to the procedure being considered, as well as expected recovery considerations and aftercare requirements.

Written aftercare instructions will be provided if treatment is performed.

Commonly seen areas include the underarms, palms, soles and forehead. Your clinician will review your pattern of sweating and may suggest medical review if indicated.

No. Schedule 4 (prescription-only) medicines are not advertised to the public. If a prescription-only option is clinically relevant, it can only be considered and discussed privately during a one-to-one consultation with a registered health practitioner.

Any change in sweating or comfort can vary with the approach used, your general health, environment and lifestyle. Your clinician may suggest review or maintenance at intervals, but no fixed duration can be promised.

You may be asked to avoid vigorous exercise, heat and some products (including deodorants or antiperspirants) on the treated area for a certain period. Your written aftercare plan will specify what is appropriate for you.

In some cases, management of sweating may be planned alongside other skin-focused treatments if this is considered clinically appropriate. Any combined plan is tailored and timed on a case-by-case basis with safety and recovery in mind.

Suitability is assessed individually. Treatment may be deferred or not recommended if you have active skin infection, dermatitis, open wounds, certain medical conditions, are pregnant or breastfeeding for some interventions, or if other risk factors are present. In these situations, your clinician may advise medical assessment only (for example, with your GP or dermatologist) rather than in-clinic procedures.
